Troubleshooting

This past week I have been working on some of the last minute issues that have appeared in my project.  These are some of the last issues that have popped up with the design of the reports within the database.  The next few weeks I will be looking at any additional bugs that may appear and fix them as necessary.

Maintenance

This past week I have been finishing my reports for my database, ensuring that the correct information would be displayed.  This was that final step that I needed to finish for the construction of the database.  I plan on using the rest of the time working on troubleshooting any problems that arise within my project.

Work

This past week I have working on my database to ensure that my queries are linked to the correct reports.  Along with this I am also ensuring that the data represented on these reports is correct according to the search criteria.  For the upcoming week I plan on continuing to work on these queries and reports as needed.

Work

This past week I mainly focused on creating some of the reports I would need to display information from my database.  The rest of the time I spent attempting to create a search for that would allow me to set up a single query to go through the database and pull the desired information.  This turned out to be more difficult than planned and is still not working.  I plan to attempt to get get this type of search option implemented, if not then I will go back to the original idea that I had for the database.

Repair

For this week I spent my time cleaning up a few of my tables as well as creating a few new ones that I had forgotten about.  I also spent some time building and modifying some of the forms that I made.  The issue that I plan on addressing is to ensure that the information that I what is displayed and no their primary key information.

Preperations

Throughout the course of this week I spent my time locating images on the Internet of the cards that I would be putting in my database and saving them in a convenient location until I needed to put them in the database.  After that I spent some time building a couple of forms that I would need in order to more easily access and update the data I would need.  My next task would be to start creating the reports that I will need to display the information needed.

Intro

In the preparation for my CSIT 493 database project, I first had to decide what information I would keep track of in my database.  Afterwards I had to decide which cards from my Magic the Gathering collection I would use.  In the end I decided upon using ten cards from each of the five colors, ten colorless cards, ten multicolored card, and five land card.  This would ensure that I would have a variety of different aspects that I could use for search options in the final database.
